The first recipe of my blog is one inspired by my favorite burger place. If you’re ever in the Joliet area, check out Hamburgeseria on Essington. Outstanding burgers, salads, hot dogs…everything is great! They have a chihuahua dog on the menu, which is a bacon wrapped deep fried hot dog served with sour cream and avocado on a bun. I usually have them add jalapeno’s to it. Absolutely fabulous!
I had a hankering for a chihuahua dog one night after business hours, so I decided to make my own. I used 3 slices of precooked bacon, wrapped it around a knackwurst, and nuked it for 2 minutes. While that was “cooking” I slathered some salvadoran crema on a hot dog bun, added sliced avocado, cilantro, and pickled peppers, and voila! So quick, so easy, so delicious!
